Playing for the fourth different team of his illustrious NBA career, LeBron James helped the Philadelphia 76ers go on the road and knock off the reigning NBA champion New York Knicks on Tuesday night.
Although LeBron contributed to the Sixers' 106-100 victory, his statistical production was somewhat modest when compared to his debut performances with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat and Los Angeles Lakers:
James managed just 14 points on 5-of-13 shooting, but he filled up the stat sheet with nine rebounds, seven assists, one steal, one block and only one turnover.
Most importantly, LeBron had a ton of help from his teammates, as Tyrese Maxey scored a game-high 28 points, Jaylen Brown scored 19, Joel Embiid had 13 points and 11 rebounds, and both Anfernee Simons and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope scored in double figures off the bench.
