The new-look Philadelphia 76ers' hot start to the 2026-27 campaign continued on Monday with a dominant win against the Chicago Bulls.

Fueled by double-doubles from Tyrese Maxey and Jaylen Brown, the Sixers downed rookie Caleb Wilson and the Bulls 126-107.

Maxey is the youngest of the Sixers' stars, but he's quickly established himself as the primary scorer, leading the team in scoring through the early going. He also came into Monday night second in the league in points per game (29.6).

In the win over Chicago, he showed that he can facilitate the offense as well.

Brown hasn't had the MVP-caliber numbers he had a year ago, but it was another strong performance from the former Celtic on Monday.

LeBron James has settled into his role nicely on the star-studded roster, scoring when he needs to but also finding open looks for his teammates. He reminded everyone that he can still get up on Monday.

VJ Edgecombe also had quite the highlight reel on Monday with three dunks.

While Wilson and the Bulls came up short, he continued his strong start to his rookie year with a productive night.

Wilson is making a strong case for Rookie of the Year, but the Bulls' 1-6 start to the season indicates that they likely won't be a playoff team just yet.

The Sixers, meanwhile, look like the contenders they were expected to be as they're off to a 7-1 start.
