Build your first pick'em entry from the Wednesday WNBA playoff games.

When you register at Underdog Fantasy, you get entered into a free contest that is easy to understand but hard to master. Here's how it works:

Users begin with a pot of virtual bonus funds totalling $1,000,000.

Each round asks a higher or lower question on a player projection.

Your whole remaining pot must be split between the two sides in each round.

The winning selection carries into the next round, for 20 rounds.

The surviving balance after all 20 rounds is awarded as Underdog bonus funds.

New customers only: 18+ in most states, 19+ or 21+ in others. Check your state.

Minimum deposit: $10 to unlock the match and activate the game.

Match rate: 50% of the first deposit. A $100 deposit returns $50; $2,000 deposit required for $1,000 maximum match.

Bonus funds: not withdrawable, and subject to a playthrough requirement.

Keep Your Million: free to play, with a virtual pot. No deposit is needed to enter.

Underdog Predict: a separate prediction market with its own state list.

Three Underdog picks for Wednesday's WNBA games

The Underdog platform is user-friendly. You simply have to predict whether a player will go higher or lower on certain stats. Here are my best picks for the WNBA playoff slate tonight:

It has been one of the most exciting seasons in WNBA history, so I'm looking at outcomes that prevent playoff series from becoming sweeps. Bueckers steps up at home to prolong her series against Williams, while Reese comes up short in Washington and is pushed to a Game 3 as well.

Can I win $1,000,000 in cash with Keep Your Million?

No. The Keep Your Million pot is virtual. Any surviving balance is awarded as Underdog bonus funds, not withdrawable cash until meeting playthrough requirements.

How big a deposit do I need for the Underdog welcome bonus?

$10 is the minimum. The match is 50%, so a $2,000 deposit is required to receive the full $1,000 in matching bonus funds.
