The Milwaukee Brewers clinched their first World Series title in franchise history Wednesday with a 4-1 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays in Game 5. When the dust settles on their celebration in Tampa, they will shift their attention toward what figures to be a memorable homecoming in Milwaukee.

Brewers fans won't have to wait long for the ensuing parade, as USA Today's Bob Nightengale reported it will take place Friday in downtown Milwaukee.

The parade will start on Wisconsin Avenue and make its way toward the lakefront. Nightengale noted there are expected to be at least 400,000 people in attendance.

Such a large crowd is anything but surprising, as Brewers fans took over Tropicana Field during the World Series.

"It's been awesome to see," Christian Yelich said of the crowd support, per Nightengale. "It's been pretty evident this month about how much the fans have gotten behind this team, the fan support that we've had at the road venues, at our home ballpark."

Milwaukee jumped out to a commanding 3-0 lead in the series but gave some of the momentum back when the Rays won Game 4 in extra innings.

Yet ace Jacob Misiorowski made sure that momentum was short-lived when he took the mound Wednesday for what proved to be the decisive contest. He allowed just two hits in 5.2 shutout innings before exiting with a calf cramp .

Fortunately for the right-hander, the Milwaukee bullpen continued its postseason dominance by allowing just one run the rest of the way. Offensively, Cooper Pratt went 2-for-3 with two RBI, while World Series MVP William Contreras drove in another run.

There were so many postseason heroes for the Brewers along the way, and the fans will get to celebrate them all Friday.
