NOIDA: A man was detained on Sunday, a day after he allegedly killed his five-year-old son in Mamura area of Sector 66.An FIR was lodged on Saturday against Vikash Kumar (30), who is being questioned. Akash was declared dead at a hospital after the accused punched him in anger during an argument with his estranged wife on the same day.Phase 3 police station SHO Subhash Chandra said that around 5.30pm, Puja called Dial 112 and told police that her husband killed his son.The SHO said, “The FIR has been registered against Vikash under Section 105 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) on the basis of the complaint lodged by child’s mother.”Vikash, a resident of Mamura in Sector 66, works in the cleaning department of a private company, police said. The husband and wife, who had seven children, live separately.On Saturday, Vikash reached his wife’s room located in Sector 66. During this time, a dispute broke out over some issue. In anger, Vikash beat up his fifth child. At that moment, he punched Akash hard on the back.“After being hit, the child fell to the ground and became unconscious.
