Blue drum case: Meerut court convicts wife, lover for husband’s murder

NEW DELHI: A Meerut court on Wednesday convicted Muskan Rastogi and her lover Sahil Shukla of killing her husband Saurabh Rajput in the infamous blue drum murder case.Meerut district judge Arvind Kumar Mishra ruled that Muskan , along with her boyfriend Sahil, conspired to murder her husband Saurabh Rajput and hid his body in a industrial drum using concrete and sand.The ruling came after 126 hearings and 22 witness statements.Advocate Krishan Kumar Dubey said, "The court has now held both offenders guilty of murdering Saurabh Rajput and attempting to conceal evidence related to the crime—specifically, trying to hide both the body in a blue drum and the murder weapon. Both individuals have been convicted of this offense."Muskan allegedly drugged her husband and, with Sahil's help, stabbed him to death in March, 2025. After the murder, the accused dismembered Rajput's body, placed the remains in a blue plastic drum and sealed it with cement.Muskan and Sahil subsequently fled to Himachal Pradesh and were arrested a fortnight later.Get the latest India News and Live updates.
