Weather tomorrow: IMD forecasts heavy to very heavy rain in West Bengal; moderate rain likely in Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand

NEW DELHI: The IMD has forecast rain and thunderstorms across several parts of the states, with heavy to very heavy rainfall in parts of West Bengal until September 9. Moderate rain is also expected in parts of Tamil Nadu and Uttarakhand. Meanwhile, rainfall activity in Delhi is likely to ease from September 8, with partly cloudy skies expected.Delhi weather tomorrowRainfall activity in Delhi is expected to decrease from September 8, with partly cloudy skies likely across the capital.The maximum temperature on Tuesday is forecast to remain between 33°C and 35°C, while the minimum temperature is likely to range between 24°C and 26°C.On September 9 and 10, the maximum temperature is expected to remain between 32°C and 34°C, while minimum temperatures could range from 24°C to 27°C.The weather is likely to remain generally cloudy on September 11 and 12, with daytime temperatures expected to stay between 31°C and 33°C. No rainfall has been forecast for either day.Tamil Nadu weather forecastTamil Nadu is expected to see contrasting weather conditions over the coming days.Moderate rain is likely in districts along the Western Ghats, while temperatures are expected to rise across the interior parts of the state. Strong winds are also forecast over the southern coastal waters.The weather department will continue to monitor rainfall, temperature and wind patterns and issue updates if there are any significant changes.West Bengal weather forecastParts of West Bengal are likely to receive heavy rain and thunderstorms until September 9 due to an active monsoon and a low-pressure area moving eastwards from Uttar Pradesh.According to the IMD, heavy rainfall is very likely in the sub-Himalayan districts of Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Jalpaiguri, Alipurduar and Cooch Behar until September 9.Other parts of south Bengal are likely to remain mostly dry during the period.Uttarakhand weather forecastThe IMD has forecast light to moderate rainfall at several places in Uttarakhand until September 7.Heavy rain is likely at isolated places in Dehradun, Tehri, Uttarkashi, Nainital, Champawat, Udham Singh Nagar, Pithoragarh and Bageshwar on Thursday.The IMD has also forecast thunderstorms with lightning, along with intense to very intense spells of rain at a few places.IMD latest forecastThe latest forecast indicates a reduction in rainfall activity in Delhi, while parts of Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and Uttarakhand are likely to experience rain of varying intensity over the coming days.
