2019 stolen Mini found in Wales returned to Wokingham owner
The Austin Mini will be returned home after its owner spotted it for sale online.
A classic car stolen from its owner seven years ago will be returned after police located it hundreds of miles away.
The Austin Mini was taken from Wokingham, Berkshire, in 2019 and was being kept in north Wales by someone who was unaware of its past.
Thames Valley Police (TVP) said the car's owner was "absolutely delighted" that the vehicle – his first car, which he had owned since 1994 – would be returned to him after he spotted it for sale online.
The find was a "fantastic result" for police in the Thames Valley and north Wales and "a great example of what can be achieved through teamwork", TVP said.
