T’puram: Health minister K Muraleedharan urged public to work closely with health workers to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.Speaking after inaugurating disease-prevention efforts and a cleanliness campaign in the Vattiyoorkavu constituency at Nettayam Health Centre on Friday, Muraleedharan said that residents must strictly follow the guidance of health workers who visit homes as part of awareness drives.He also emphasized the observance of “Dry Day” and the removal of stagnant water to prevent breeding of mosquitoes that carry diseases like dengue and chikungunya.He also launched a sanitation drive by clearing waste from a public roadside area near Govt Ayurveda Dispensary, Vattiyoorkavu.During his visit to the dispensary, he distributed Aparajitha dhooma choornam, a herbal fumigation powder meant for use in homes to help prevent infectious diseases.Stay updated with the latest Thiruvananthapuram news.
