Haryana health dept tells govt hospitals to update online drug portal in real time and match physical stock, warning action for discrepancies; HMSCL orders biometric access.
Gurgaon: Haryana’s health department has directed civil surgeons across the state to ensure regular updates of medicine procurement, availability and consumption records on the online drug management portal, warning that discrepancies between recorded and physical stocks will invite accountability. The directions require govt hospitals and other healthcare institutions to enter details of medicines procured locally into the portal and update records of purchases, availability and consumption promptly. The Essential Drug List (EDL) will be used to monitor medicine availability, with officials asked to ensure that online records match the physical stock.Responsibility will be fixed for discrepancies between portal entries and actual stocks, and officials and employees found responsible for lapses could face action. Healthcare institutions have also been directed to regularly verify medicine stocks and monitor their consumption. The department has stressed the need to ensure that medicines available through the govt supply system are prescribed to patients. Doctors will be encouraged to prescribe available govt-supplied medicines to help patients avoid unnecessary inconvenience.Separately, the Haryana Medical Services Corporation Limited (HMSCL) has directed measures to prevent unauthorised access to staff cabins and areas where sensitive files and procurement-related documents are kept.HMSCL managing director Dr Manoj Kumar issued instructions for installing biometric access control gates in staff areas to regulate entry. Outsiders will not be allowed to enter staff cabins without authorisation.Biometric attendance has been made mandatory for officers and employees, who will be required to record their attendance through the system. Visitors will have to enter their details in a designated register and wait in designated areas. Meetings with staff will have to follow the prescribed procedure, with visitors barred from accessing restricted areas without authorisation. The instructions are aimed at safeguarding sensitive documents and ensuring that access to staff areas is regulated. Violations could invite disciplinary action, and officials concerned have been directed to ensure compliance. You Can Also Check: Gold Rate in Gurgaon | Silver Rate in Gurgaon | Bank Holidays in Gurgaon | Public Holidays in Gurgaon | Gurgaon AQI | Weather in Gurgaon | Petrol Price in Gurgaon | Diesel Price in Gurgaon | CNG Price in Gurgaon | LPG Price in GurgaonStay updated with the latest Gurgaon news.
