BJP announces 24 state-level appointments ahead of crucial assembly polls

NEW DELHI: The BJP on Thursday announced the appointment of state general secretaries and joint general secretaries across several states, naming 24 party leaders for the organisational posts.The appointments come months ahead of crucial assembly elections in five states, as the ruling party continues to strengthen its organisational machinery ahead of the polls.The list includes leaders such as Satish Dhond, V Satish, Manas Mohanty and Mantri Srinivasulu, among others.The announcement comes a day after the BJP named its state incharges for different states.
