Navi Mumbai: Cidco removing an illegal cowshed constructed in Kharghar has created a political stir. Cidco’s eviction action conducted more than a week ago removed a container and 13 cows. A family staying in the container was handling the cows. However, dissatisfied over the action, a BJP corporator has switched loyalty from the Panvel MLA camp to the MLC camp. The corporator claimed that no prior notice was served on us before taking action.A Cidco controller of unauthorised construction (CUC) section official said, “The action was taken against the cowshed. However, there were a few cows and the family has been staying in the container.”A BJP corporator of the Panvel City Municipal Corporation, Shatrughn Kakade, said, “The cowshed has been on our family-owned land for the last few years. Many turned up to the cowshed for worship. The CUC department didn’t serve any notice to us but acted. The cows are currently settled there but were disturbed.” He added, “The Cidco action issue was raised during the meeting held on Friday between the revenue minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule and Cidco, Raigad district collector among other officials. We have taken up the Cidco action issue with MLA Prashant Thakur.”The Kakade family claimed to have been doing various activities on the said plot for more than a decade. However, the Cidco action has upset their political might in the area, escalating the difference of opinion with the MLA faction. You Can Also Check: Gold Rate in Mumbai | Silver Rate in Mumbai | Bank Holidays in Mumbai | Public Holidays in Mumbai | Mumbai AQI | Weather in Mumbai | Petrol Price in Mumbai | Diesel Price in Mumbai | CNG Price in Mumbai | LPG Price in MumbaiStay updated with the latest Mumbai news.
