BLF’s newly-formed female unit 'KAAD' attacks military convoy in Balochistan; claims nine killed

The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has released footage of an attack by its newly formed female unit on a Pakistani military convoy in Turbat, claiming that nine security personnel were killed in the operation.The video, released through the group’s media cell Aashoob, shows fighters of the Karima Armed Assault Division (KAAD) firing at a three-vehicle Quick Response Force (QRF) convoy on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) highway on September 22.The footage includes a female commander briefing fighters before the operation, along with training clips. He said a clash followed between Pakistani forces and members of a local armed group. The BRA claimed nine Pakistani military personnel and three members of the armed group were killed, while six of its own fighters also lost their lives, according to The Balochistan Post.The Baloch Republican Guards (BRG) separately claimed that its fighters seized Haji Shehr and destroyed a local police station using explosives. It also said BRA fighters entered Eri Shehr, took control of government facilities and withdrew after the operation.KAAD is named after Karima Baloch, a pro-independence activist and the first woman chairperson of the Baloch Students Organisation-Azad.
