Watch live: Netanyahu to address UN amid US-Israel war in Iran

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is among the notable leaders set to address the United Nations General Assembly on Thursday, with the U.S.-Israel war in Iran and fighting in Gaza set to loom large over his remarks.

Netanyahu will hit the stage a day after Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian pushed back against President Trump’s threats at the U.N. , declaring Iran would “never bow our head” and saying Tehran remains open to diplomacy.

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas is also set to address the gathering by video Thursday after the U.S. denied him a visa to attend in person. Tens of thousands of Palestinians were killed in Gaza after Israel launched a military campaign in response to Hamas’s Oct. 7, 2023, attack.

Netanyahu faces an International Criminal Court arrest warrant over alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity tied to Gaza. He has denied the allegations.

Day three of the U.N. General Assembly is set to begin at 9 a.m. EDT.
