Moscow says Ukrainian drones kill several in Russia and Crimea

Several people have been killed in Russia and Crimea in Ukrainian counterattacks, including one person in Perm and two in Crimea, with multiple buildings damaged.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed Ukrainian attacks on targets in Russia, including refineries in Ryazan, Perm, and Tatarstan, as well as in Kursk region and the Black Sea.

Ukraine has been defending itself against a Russian invasion for over four and a half years, leading to repeated attacks on Russian targets, including in Crimea, which Russia uses as a staging area and supply base.

Several people have been killed in Russia and on the Black Sea peninsula of Crimea annexed by Russia in Ukrainian counterattacks, Russian authorities said on Monday.

In Perm, more than 1,100 kilometres east of Moscow, one person was killed as a result of a Ukrainian attack, regional governor Dmitri Machonin said.

Four others were injured and a multi-storey residential building was damaged, he added. Machonin spoke of a massive attack in which 27 Ukrainian drones were intercepted over the Perm region.

In the border region of Belgorod, a man was killed in the town of Grayvoron in a Ukrainian drone attack, according to the regional civil defence authority. A woman was injured, it said. Another person was injured in further attacks and there was damage and fires, according to the information.

Moscow-appointed authorities: Two dead in Crimea

On the Black Sea peninsula of Crimea, which was annexed by Russia in 2014, the Moscow-appointed governor of the city of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhayev, said a man and a teenage girl had been killed in a Ukrainian attack. Eight multi-storey residential buildings were damaged, he said.
