CHARKHI DADRI: Charkhi Dadri Police has intensified its crackdown on drug traffickers, targeting not only those allegedly involved in the illegal narcotics trade but also the properties, valuables and other assets believed to have been acquired from its proceeds.Acting on the strict directions of Superintendent of Police Logesh Kumar P., the district police is conducting a special campaign aimed at making Charkhi Dadri drug-free. As part of the drive, police are taking legal action against alleged drug traffickers while simultaneously tightening the noose around their suspected ill-gotten wealth.Over Friday and Saturday, police teams conducted raids at premises linked to three alleged drug traffickers in Pichopa Kalan, Jewali and Mehra villages and carried out seizure action under Section 68F of the NDPS Act.on Friday, a Badhra police team led by SI Pawan, along with PSI Harender, in-charge of Atela Kalan police post, raided premises linked to Sunil, son of Balwan, of Pichopa Kalan, and Hardeep, son of Bhup Singh, of Jewali. On Saturday, a Jhojhu Kalan police team led by ASI Surender Mohan conducted action at the premises of Kulbir, son of Maturam, in Mehra.Police said luxury household articles and valuable items allegedly acquired from drug-trafficking proceeds were seized as part of the prescribed legal proceedings.With the latest action, 24 premises linked to alleged drug traffickers have been subjected to effective action under Section 68F in Charkhi Dadri during 2026, police said.SP Logesh Kumar said the force was following a “zero-tolerance” policy against drug trafficking and would continue targeting the financial foundations of the illegal trade. He said the objective was not merely to put traffickers behind bars but also to dismantle the illegal wealth allegedly built at the cost of the future of young people.The SP appealed to residents to share information regarding the sale, supply or trafficking of narcotic substances and suspicious activities.
