Students from 3 Hisar villages demand better bus service
Students from Kharar Alipur, Niyana and Mirzapur in Hisar demand more Haryana Roadways buses, citing delays hurting studies; warn hunger strike.
Hisar: Inadequate Haryana Roadways bus services have made commuting to schools and colleges difficult for students from Kharar Alipur, Niyana and Mirzapur villages, with many complaining that long waits for buses are eating into their study time. A group of students met a local politician, Pradeep Bhankhar, on Saturday and sought intervention to resolve the issue. The students said the shortage of buses made it difficult for them to reach educational institutions on time and return home. They added that female students faced particular difficulties due to the lack of reliable transport.Bhankhar said access to education was every child’s right and students should not have to struggle because of inadequate public transport. He urged the Roadways department’s divisional manager (DM) and general manager (GM) to ensure adequate bus services for the three villages. The students warned that if their demand was not addressed soon, they would launch a hunger strike at the main gate of the Hisar bus stand. Bhankhar said he would join them in an agitation against the depot’s DM and GM if the issue remained unresolved.Caption: Students from the three villages gather to press for improved bus servicesYou Can Also Check: Gold Rate in Chandigarh | Silver Rate in Chandigarh | Bank Holidays in Chandigarh | Public Holidays in Chandigarh | Chandigarh AQI | Weather in Chandigarh | Petrol Price in Chandigarh | Diesel Price in Chandigarh | CNG Price in Chandigarh | LPG Price in ChandigarhStay updated with the latest Chandigarh news.
