NEW DELHI: BJP and its allies Tuesday lashed out at Neha Bora, of AISA, for her comments targeting "Brahamanical and casteist system" and citing instances of priests allegedly raping women in temples, and said her views have reinforced their charge that the ecosystem of Rahul Gandhi is "anti-Hindu".Though it is not clear when she made these comments but as a purported video of her remarks surfaced online, BJP hit back and targeted Rahul and Congress in the same vein, noting her emergence as a key face of opposition's campaign against Election Commission and govt over SIR of poll rolls. In the video, Bora had raised concerns over the safety of Brahmin women inside temple premises. "Protection is needed from the Brahmanical system itself... Brahmin women are unsafe, they get raped. Priests commit rape inside temples," she said in the video.BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia said, "She is insulting priests with her poisonous thoughts. Anarchic elements who draw inspiration from Bangladesh will know little about our culture. Can she make similar comments against maulanas accused of committing sexual crimes against kids in mosques and madarsas? This selective outrage is dangerous."LJP (RV) chief and Union minister Chirag Paswan said Congress must introspect if it wants to project someone like her, who stokes 'division', as a face of its protests.Get the latest India News and Live updates.
