South Africa mass shooting: At least 11 killed by unidentified gunman in Durban

At least 11 people were killed and three others injured in a mass shooting in South Africa, police said on Wednesday. One of the victims was a woman believed to be pregnant, police said in a statement.The shooting took place late Tuesday night in KwaMakhutha township, around 30 km (19 miles) south of Durban on South Africa’s east coast.According to police, the victims had gathered at a house for a party when three assailants entered and opened fire, the Associated Press reported.Police are searching for the suspects and combing the scene for evidence as the investigation continues.The motive for the shooting is not yet known.
