Delhi man with 14 criminal cases shot dead; CCTV captures killing

NEW DELHI: A man with around 14 criminal cases registered against him was shot dead in a brazen attack captured on CCTV in outer Delhi’s Ranhola area, police said on Tuesday.The footage shows the victim stopping his motorcycle near a house when two motorcycles carrying four assailants suddenly enter the camera frame. The attackers approach the rider, and one of them opens fire from behind. The other assailants also fire multiple shots at the victim before the attack unfolds in full view of the CCTV camera.The deceased, identified as Mosin Khan, was a resident of Commander Chowk in Vikas Nagar and a declared bad character (BC) of Ranhola police station, according to police.Police said they received information around 5.30 pm on October 11 that Khan had been admitted to a hospital with gunshot injuries. He was subsequently declared dead.A case was registered at Ranhola police station, and an investigation was launched. Police said they had identified the suspects and were making efforts to apprehend them.The motive behind the killing and the circumstances leading to the shooting have not yet been established.
