Russian strike damages major pharmaceutical warehouse near Kiev

A large pharmaceutical warehouse in Boryspil near Kiev was damaged in a Russian airstrike, one person was injured, and the facility was one of the largest specialized pharmaceutical warehouses in Ukraine.

The Russian military has increased attacks on various distribution centers in Ukraine, including food, cold-storage facilities, online retailers' shipping hubs, and DIY stores, while Ukraine has targeted distribution centers of Russian online retail giants Wildberries and Ozon.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported that 13 regions were affected by Russian airstrikes overnight, with 17 people injured in Odessa when a drone struck a high-rise building, leading to continuous air raid alerts due to the threat of Russian jet-powered drone attacks.

A large pharmaceutical warehouse in the Ukrainian city of Boryspil near Kiev was damaged in a Russian airstrike on Thursday, according to media reports.

The Ukrainska Pravda news outlet said the facility was one of the largest specialized pharmaceutical warehouses in Ukraine.

Kiev regional military governor Tymur Tkachenko confirmed only that a warehouse had been hit but, as is customary, provided no further details. One person was injured, he said on Telegram.

The Russian military has stepped up attacks on distribution centres for food, cold-storage facilities, online retailers' shipping hubs and DIY stores in Ukraine.

Ukraine, for its part, has attacked numerous distribution centres belonging to Russian online retail giants Wildberries and Ozon.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said 13 regions had been affected by Russian airstrikes overnight.

In Odessa, 17 people were injured when a drone struck a high-rise building, he said.

"In many cities and communities, air raid alerts practically do not stop because of the threat of Russian jet-powered drone attacks," Zelensky wrote on social media.

Ukraine is in the fifth year of defending itself against Russia's full-scale invasion. Efforts to end the war have stalled as Moscow continues to pursue its goal of subjugating its neighbour.
