Maharashtra CET admission deadline revised to September 14, check final date and CAP admission requirements

Maharashtra CET admission 2026: The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has revised the final deadline for admissions to various undergraduate and postgraduate technical education courses for the academic year 2026-27. As per the latest circular, September 14, 2026, will be the final date for completing admissions under the state admission process.The revised deadline has been fixed in accordance with orders issued by the Hon'ble Supreme Court and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The Maharashtra CET Cell has clarified that September 14 will be treated as the final deadline for all types of admissions, including the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) and institutional-level vacancy rounds.Maharashtra CET admission deadline September 14Students participating in ongoing CAP rounds or institutional vacancy rounds must complete all admission formalities before the revised deadline. This includes completing the admission process, paying the applicable fees and carrying out system reporting on the Maharashtra CET Cell portal.The CET Cell has urged students, parents and participating institutions to take note of the revised schedule and ensure that eligible candidates complete the required formalities within the stipulated period.Supreme Court and AICTE orders behind revised scheduleThe revised deadline follows the Hon'ble Supreme Court order dated August 12, 2026, in MA No. 2380/2026, and the AICTE revised academic schedule dated August 13, 2026.The CET Cell issued the circular under No. Tanshipr-1226/P.No.007/CET/2026/2187. The communication states that the revised September 14 deadline applies to various degree and postgraduate professional courses under technical education for the 2026-27 academic year.CAP and institutional rounds includedThe September 14 deadline applies to both the Centralised Admission Process and institutional-level admission rounds. Candidates who are currently participating in either process must ensure that their admission is fully completed before the cut-off.Simply securing a seat will not be sufficient if the required fee payment and system reporting remain pending. Students and institutions must complete these stages on the portal before the final deadline.The Maharashtra State CET Cell has stated that September 14, 2026, is the revised final date for admissions under the notified technical education courses.
