Raj BJP launches statewide campaign to counter Cong on SIR
Rajasthan BJP launches 15-day “Save Democracy, Remove Mobocracy” campaign (Oct 22–Nov 5) to counter Congress on SIR, electoral roll integrity and infiltration.
Jaipur: Rajasthan BJP Thursday announced a 15-day statewide campaign titled “Save Democracy, Remove Mobocracy” to push back against the Congress narrative on Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, voter list integrity and alleged illegal infiltration. The campaign will run from Oct 22 to Nov 5.The party said it will organise district headquarters foot marches, assembly constituency-level “Rashtra Chintan Samvad” discussions, youth interactions at educational institutions, student competitions, press conferences and social media outreach to build public awareness around electoral processes, citizenship and democratic institutions.BJP state general secretary Shravan Singh Bagri said, “Congress attempted to mislead people on SIR and other issues. The campaign would counter these allegations while highlighting the need for accurate electoral rolls, voting rights for eligible citizens and public confidence in democratic institutions.”“The country’s citizens alone have the right to vote. Infiltrators should not have the right to choose the country’s govt,” Bagri said, alleging Congress was spreading misinformation over the removal of names of non-citizens from electoral rolls.According to the party, the campaign has eight components: press conferences, district-level foot marches, Rashtra Chintan Samvad, youth interactions, student competitions, anti-infiltration publicity, special publications and social media outreach. From Oct 23 to 31, BJP said it will hold “Rashtra Chintan Samvad” programmes in every assembly constituency, involving doctors, lawyers, teachers, professors, businesspeople, social workers and other professionals.Youth dialogues are planned in colleges, universities, industrial training institutes and other educational institutions on democracy, citizenship, SIR, constitutional values, electoral fairness and national development, alongside student competitions on related themes. The party said it will also circulate articles, booklets, pamphlets and special publications, while digital platforms will carry campaign messages and updates from district-level activities.Suman Sharma, convener of the “Remove Infiltrators, Save Democracy” segment, said, “The campaign would operate at state, district and assembly constituency levels. Separate teams have been formed to oversee the various activities.”A BJP functionary said, “Our party aims to take the debate beyond political exchanges and engage different sections of society in discussions on electoral roll revisions, eligible voters’ rights and illegal infiltration.”You Can Also Check: Gold Rate in Jaipur | Silver Rate in Jaipur | Bank Holidays in Jaipur | Public Holidays in Jaipur | Jaipur AQI | Weather in Jaipur | Petrol Price in Jaipur | Diesel Price in Jaipur | CNG Price in Jaipur | LPG Price in JaipurStay updated with the latest Jaipur news.
