Vice President Vance is giving the keynote address Thursday evening at the first-ever GOP midterm convention in Dallas. President Trump will close out the two-day event after Vance.

Trump on Wednesday made a vow to provide $5,000 dividend checks to Americans if the GOP maintains majorities in the House and Senate in November. Vance has already been pressed on the president’s vow, which has received blowback .

Other notable speakers today include former White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.), Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) and Donald Trump Jr.
