Watch live: Trump rallies in Ohio, seeking to boost GOP in midterm battles

President Trump is returning to Ohio Monday evening, as Republicans fight to defend two key seats in a state that has emerged as an unexpected midterm battleground .

He is expected to campaign alongside Sen. Jon Husted (R-Ohio), just days after Vice President Vance rallied voters in the Buckeye State. The visits come as Husted trails former Sen. Sherrod Brown (D) in recent polls , while Democrat Amy Acton has opened a narrow lead over Republican Vivek Ramaswamy in the governor’s race.

The event follows a blitz of campaign stops by Trump and other top Republicans in red states as the GOP faces mounting pressure to defend its congressional majorities in November. The president carried Ohio by more than 11 points in 2024.

The rally in Youngstown, Ohio, is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. EDT.
