Several states are expecting close races on Election Day , which will determine who will run Congress during President Donald Trump 's final two years in office.

Perhaps one of the largest polling leads among the battleground states is in Michigan , where Democrat Abdul El-Sayed and former GOP Rep. Mike Rogers are going head to head .

On Nov. 1, Rep. Haley Stevens, who lost Michigan's Democratic Senate primary to El-Sayed, announced in a social media video that she endorses Rogers . The decision surprised friends and party leaders, with some Democrats sharing that Stevens, as recently as Oct. 31, said she planned to support El-Sayed.

"This is just a weight off my shoulders, okay? Abdul has been getting angrier and angrier," Stevens told CNN's Anderson Cooper on Nov. 1. "I'm making a decision here, and that's just where I landed on this. I woke up this morning, clear-eyed, fresh, and focused on what was in my heart, and that's that."

Days before, El-Sayed's campaign asked Stevens to not attend any of his campaign events , as previously reported by USA TODAY.

With Election Day tomorrow, here's what to know about El-Sayed and Rogers' standings.
