The Hill is thrilled to present the third annual “Bang for Your Buck: Get the Most from Your 2027 Medicare Benefits.”

This year’s event is expanded in scope beyond prescription drug plans to address the most common questions about Medicare during open enrollment, which runs from Oct. 15 to Dec. 7.

Health care costs and affordability are among the top concerns driving Americans’ money worries. For Medicare beneficiaries, and those who care for them, open enrollment is a good time to revisit plans to see whether coverage changed before the 2027 plan year kicks in.

New survey research of Medicare beneficiaries shows major gaps in awareness of newer cost-saving benefits. Results also show the impacts of Medicare negotiation on access and out-of-pocket costs in Part D. The news is mixed.

Additionally, Medicare added 15 Part B drugs to the third round of price negotiations in 2026 and took steps to formalize negotiation policies that could discourage the future development of biosimilars and alternative therapies with improved delivery methods.

Join The Hill, in partnership with the Alliance on Aging Research, for a timely discussion with policymakers, open enrollment experts, and advocates on the future of Medicare benefits, the impact of drug price negotiations, and what beneficiaries need to know for 2027.

The event is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. EDT.
