Kennedy sets out on the final leg of his campaign push

A week out from the midterm elections, Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is back on the road stumping for vulnerable GOP candidates and promoting his Make American Healthy Again agenda.

Kennedy has been crisscrossing the country since the summer, traveling to key swing states .

On Monday, Kennedy was in Michigan speaking at a campaign event with GOP Senate candidate Mike Rogers. He sought to tie Abdul El-Sayed to the Muslim Brotherhood, an Islamist movement founded in Egypt in 1928, something that President Trump has also done.

His remarks devolved into an anti-Arab diatribe broadly disparaging the academic capability of Arabs around the world, arguing the Muslim Brotherhood destroyed Islam’s contributions to art, science and literature.

“There’s 500 million Arabs in the world, and yet they don’t produce science, they don’t win the Nobel Prize, they don’t win the Field[s] prize, they don’t win the Wolf Prize, they don’t produce the literature they used to produce,” Kennedy said.

He also knocked El-Sayed over a strict COVID-19 response in Michigan, though El-Sayed was not in public office during the pandemic. He served as the Detroit health department director from 2015 to 2017.

“He considered himself the go-to medical authority, and he was telling us to do the lockdowns,” Kennedy said.

MAHA helped give Trump an important ally in Kennedy, a longtime Democrat before he endorsed Trump and joined his administration. And Kennedy gave Trump and Republicans access to a new group of voters, which could be key to helping lift the party in a year where Trump’s ratings are underwater .

The White House is looking to make sure those voters go to the polls again, but MAHA supporters have increasingly grown frustrated with the administration.

On Wednesday, Kennedy will headline a MAHA rally in Iowa, where farmer Zach Lahn is running against Democratic state auditor Rob Sand.

Lahn, who describes himself as a regenerative farmer and business owner, made waves during the state’s GOP primary by defeating Rep. Randy Feenstra, an established politician who was endorsed by President Trump.

He frequently criticizes “Big Agriculture” and the use of toxic pesticides that can contaminate the food supply. His platform includes breaking up farming monopolies and defending smaller, independent farms.

MAHA groups are investing more than $2 million in the races for Iowa governor and House GOP candidate Joe Mitchell.

American men are facing a crisis in plummeting testosterone levels — at least according to several top Trump administration officials. But experts say there is key context that is being left out of the conversation, and the push towards hormone replacement therapy probably isn’t the panacea that officials believe it to be. Senate Democrats, led by Sens.
