Democratic strategist James Carville doubled down Wednesday on his prediction that President Trump will leave office by Easter next year.

Fox News’s Laura Ingraham asked Carville during an interview on “The Ingraham Angle” if he stuck by the prediction he made earlier this year and why. Carville said he does, adding that Trump’s “not particularly a hard man.”

“And when he sees what’s going to happen in this election, and I had this hit me in 1994, I know what this is. Most people don’t. And when these things hit, of course, [former President] Clinton was able to survive because he was young, he was brilliant, and he had Newt Gingrich as his foil,” he said, referring to the former Republican House Speaker from Georgia.

“Do you want to put some money on this, Carville?” Ingraham asked. “I will put a huge amount on this, that Trump will be out by Easter, for charity.”

Carville poured cold water on the offer, saying he does not “do the predictable thing.”

“I like to think of the future,” he said. “I think he’s going to get really bored and when you lose one this big, people don’t really pay attention to you.”

Carville predicted on his “ Politics War Room ” podcast in June that Trump — whom he said was “soft,” “distracted” and “bored with the Iran war” — would leave if Democrats make “breathtaking” victories in the November midterm elections.

“He’s obviously not well, he sleeps all the time, slobbers all over himself or whatever,” Carville said at the time.

He added that Trump will be responding to the “massive rejection of him, anybody that has anything to do with him, anything that has anything to do with [him].”

Carville reiterated his prognostication , saying Trump’s “just going to f—ing walk away,” unable to come to grips with “a massive rejection of him.”

White House spokesperson Davis Ingle, in a statement to The Hill at the time, called Carville “a stone-cold loser who suffers from a severe and incurable disease known as Trump Derangement Syndrome, and it has rotted his peanut-sized brain.”

Carville has also since claimed he “has” Trump Derangement Syndrome, saying Monday that if he “could take a pill that would help me hate that motherf‑‑‑er more and obsess on him more, I would take that pill.”

Democrats appear to be poised to reclaim the House and potentially the Senate in next month’s midterms, dealing significant blows to Trump. The Hill’s election partner Decision Desk HQ forecasts a 78 percent probability they will win back the House in November, and a 57 percent probability Democrats could reclaim the Senate from Republicans.
