Watch live: Trump heads to Kansas as GOP fights to hold Senate

President Trump heads to Kansas on Monday evening as Republicans look to shore up support in an unexpectedly competitive Senate race with just two weeks until the midterm elections.

Trump is expected to rally voters for incumbent Kansas Sen. Roger Marshall (R), who faces a challenge from Democrat Adam Hamilton in a state that has long been a GOP stronghold. Decision Desk HQ, The Hill’s polling partner, currently rates the race as “lean Republican.”

It’s just the latest stop for the president, who has been crisscrossing the country in recent weeks to boost vulnerable GOP candidates.

The event in Wichita, Kan., is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. EDT.
