Susie Wiles: ‘I am cancer free’

White House chief of staff Susie Wiles said that she is “cancer free” on Wednesday after announcing earlier this year she had been diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer.

Wiles wrote in a post on X that her pathology results came back clear after a medical appointment at the Mayo Clinic earlier this week.

“Thank you to my family, friends, doctors, and everyone who prayed for me, checked in, and supported me along the way,” she wrote.

“A special thank you to President Trump for his unwavering support. I am deeply grateful and will continue to work to advance his America First Agenda,” she continued.

Wiles announced earlier this year that she had been diagnosed with early stage breast cancer.

“She’s an amazing person, an amazing fighter, and she announced a minor difficulty which will be in good shape. You’ll be around for a long time,” Trump told reporters while sitting next Wiles in March. “She’s going to be in great shape. The prognosis is excellent.”

Wiles is considered one of Trump’s closest advisers and has played an integral role in shaping his second administration. Wiles also was instrumental in Trump’s election win in 2024.

While the chief of staff is often seen at Trump’s side, Wiles is known for keeping a low profile.
