Karoline Leavitt, President Trump’s former White House press secretary is set to join Fox News next month as a contributor.
Leavitt, the only person to serve as the president’s top spokesperson during his second term, will join a number of other former Trump administration officials and allies at the network, according to The New York Times .
She gave birth to her second child this summer and weeks later announced she would leave the administration to spend more time with her family.
Leavitt was known during her time at the podium for her fierce defense of Trump’s policies and frequent sparring with reporters in the White House briefing room.
She joins another former White House press secretary, Kaleigh McEnany, at the outlet, where she is expected to provide commentary and analysis across a number of the channel’s news and opinion programs, the Times reported.
As he built his second Cabinet, Trump tapped a long list of former Fox News personalities and hosts to fill key positions in his administration, including Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy and others.
A former Republican House candidate in New Hampshire, Leavitt served as the top spokesperson for the president’s reelection campaign and was the youngest person to ever serve as White House press secretary when she was selected for the job.
Leavitt is set to begin at Fox on Nov. 1.
