Live updates: Trump shares cartoon of Dana White as press secretary as he mulls offer

President Trump on Sunday morning shared a “Family Guy” style cartoon of Dana White as the White House press secretary after the president on Saturday said he offered White the role.

The UFC CEO responded to the president and reporters in London Saturday night, saying that he will meet with Trump on Monday to discuss.

The president is also set to appear on CBS News’s “60 Minutes” Sunday night, sitting for his first interview following the GOP’s devastating loss of both the House and Senate in Tuesday’s midterms.

Post Election Day, the president was quick to blame Republican candidate quality for the sweeping blue wave, though others pointed to Trump’s approval rating dip — brought on, in part, by his unpopular war in Iran, aggressive immigration policy and sweeping tariffs, among other key policy issues.

The Trump administration also has a rocky history with “60 Minutes” itself, as the show saw several prominent departures after CBS News’s parent company, Paramount Skydance, was purchased last year by Larry and David Ellison — the father-son billionaire duo who are allies of the president. The media firm recently finalized a high-profile acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery, which it bought out for $110.9 billion.

Meanwhile, members of Congress are preparing to return to Capitol Hill this week, some duking it out for leadership positions within their respective parties after Democrats flipped both chambers. Insiders can read more about the House and Senate have planned for the lame-duck period here .
