CHHATRAPATI SAMBHAJINAGAR: A major fire broke out at Asian Hospital in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar around 2.30 am on Friday, triggering panic among patients, relatives and hospital staff.According to Fire Brigade officials, around 58 patients were admitted to the hospital when the blaze broke out, including nine newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). All patients were safely evacuated in a swift operation.No patient or hospital staff member was injured, officials said.Thick smoke engulfed parts of the building, prompting hospital staff to raise the alarm and alert the Fire Brigade. Three fire tenders were rushed to the spot, and firefighters began efforts to bring the blaze under control.The incident caused panic among relatives, with several of them rushing to the hospital after learning about the fire.
