Josh Allen will wear 8 Bills hats designed by Golisano kids. Fans can buy them, too

Josh Allen provided the morose blue potato.

Nine children receiving care at Golisano Children's Hospital of Buffalo turned Allen's famously questionable attempt at drawing the Buffalo Bills logo into eight colorful caps he'll wear before home games this season.

And this time, Bills fans can wear them, too.

New Era released the eight Buffalo Bills hats as part of its 2026 Billustration Collection . Each design is available for $49.99, with proceeds benefiting the Patricia Allen Fund at Golisano Children's Hospital.

Allen will wear a different cap during his tunnel walk before each of the Bills' eight regular-season home games.

Each one features Allen's now-famous hand-drawn Bills logo on the front, with colors and original artwork created by the children stitched throughout the rest of the cap.

Allen and New Era started the Billustration project last season after the Bills quarterback expanded his partnership with the Buffalo-based company.

Allen became the first New Era ambassador to receive an investment stake in the company and was given the title "Director of Billustration." The title was inspired by Allen's attempt to draw the Bills logo from memory.

It wasn't particularly close, but it was memorable.

New Era partnered with patients at what was then Oishei Children's Hospital to create nine one-of-a-kind caps for Allen to wear before home games last season.

Those caps were later signed and auctioned, helping raise $140,230 for the Patricia Allen Fund.

The fund honors Allen's grandmother, Patricia, who died in November 2020. Bills fans responded to her death by donating more than $1 million to the children's hospital, many in $17 increments in honor of Allen's jersey number. The hospital later established the Patricia Allen Fund to support its pediatric critical care team. The fund has raised more than $17 million.

Last year's hats created another problem: Fans wanted them.

New Era and Allen solved that this season by making all eight designs available for purchase.

"I was eager to bring it back for the 2026 season in response to the demand from fans to get their hands on these special caps," Allen said in a news release.

Nobody will confuse them with the Bills' traditional red, white and blue merchandise.

"One of the most special parts of Billustration is seeing the kids' creativity come to life and learning where their inspiration comes from," Danielle Koch, executive director of the New Era Cap Foundation, said in the release. "Their imagination and perspective are incredibly powerful."

Jack's cap features tan, lime green and turquoise panels, a blue brim and a turkey holding a football stitched onto the side. Allen will wear it for the home opener against the Detroit Lions on Sept. 17.

Mason went heavy on red and white and included some of his favorite things, including video games and football.

Charlotte filled her bright pink, turquoise and purple cap with things that make her happy, including rainbows, hearts and flowers. She also incorporated a pair of lungs into the design, representing a major medical challenge she overcame.

Isaac used the colors of a sunset and added a green snapback to represent kidney disease awareness.

Siblings Avery and Amar'e collaborated on a light blue and red design, combining their personalities and love of the Bills into one cap.

Killian's turquoise, tan and green cap includes an axolotl, one of his favorite animals, along with artwork representing two surgeries he underwent.

Caleb created a rainbow unicorn wearing leg braces like his own, while Grace finished the collection with a light blue design featuring a football and other Bills-inspired artwork.

Allen will wear the eight designs during home games against the Lions, Los Angeles Chargers, New England Patriots, Baltimore Ravens, Miami Dolphins, Kansas City Chiefs, Chicago Bears and New York Jets.

The caps are available in three styles: the 9SEVENTY, 59FIFTY and a kids' 9FORTY.

The collection is available through New Era's website, the New Era Buffalo Store, New Era's SoHo flagship store, Highmark Stadium and select retailers.
