Serie A official line-ups: Venezia vs. Inter

Ange-Yoan Bonny partners Marcus Thuram in attack for Inter against Venezia, whilst Davide Nicola sticks with under-fire striker Akor Adams in his front line for the hosts.

It kicks off at 18:30 CET [17:30 GMT] at the Stadio Pier Luigi Penzo, with Luca Pairetto refereeing.

Inter need three points to draw level with Lazio again at the top of Serie A . Gennaro Gattuso's side moved three points clear on 25 with their 6-2 win at Sassuolo last night. Cristian Chivu's side came from behind to beat Fiorentina 2-1 on Sunday, with Marcus Thuram and Piotr Zieliński both scoring in stoppage time. Saturday's derby against Milan is next.

Venezia are bottom with three points. They beat Napoli in Davide Nicola's first game in charge, but lost 1-0 at Genoa on Sunday .

The game has a family subplot. Venezia goalkeeper Filip Stanković came through the Inter academy, and the Nerazzurri kept a 50% sell-on clause when they sold him in 2024. His younger brother Aleksandar is in the Inter squad, and their father Dejan won the Treble at the club.

Lautaro Martínez (hamstring) and Luis Henrique (adductor) are both out until after the international break. Benjamin Pavard (adductor), Curtis Jones (adductor) and John Stones (hamstring) are also missing. Pavard and Jones are hoping to be fit for next Tuesday's Champions League game.

Venezia are without Thierry Correia (hamstring), Marin Šverko (hip), Andrea Adorante (back surgery) and Bartol Franjić (shoulder surgery).
