Zomatao to de-list dishes with analogue dairy products

MUMBAI: Zomato has announced a zero-tolerance policy on the sale of analogue dairy dishes by restaurants listed on its platform, with immediate effect delisting dishes that restaurant partners have declared as containing analogue dairy.Under the policy, restaurants must transition to natural dairy products or remove items containing analogue dairy from their menus if an immediate transition is not feasible. They must also review product labels and ingredient declarations provided by suppliers to verify the ingredients used and ensure accurate representation of products listed on the platform.Restaurants that remain non-compliant will be delisted. Zomato said the policy is part of its focus on food quality, transparency and healthier food choices for customers, consistent with applicable regulatory requirements.According to Aditya Mangla, CEO, Zomato, the policy is aimed at safeguarding customer health and maintaining clear standards for products listed and served by restaurant partners.
