NEW DELHI: ACME Solar has signed a power procurement agreement (PPA) with Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for 300 MW (1,200 MWh) of assured peak power supply. The company said the assured supply under SECI’s FDRE-IX tranche was contracted at a tariff of Rs 6 per unit, with the effective date being Oct 6, 2026.“This firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) project supports the growing need for reliable, dispatchable clean power during evening and night-time peak demand, helping strengthen grid stability as renewable energy’s share of India’s power mix increases,” ACME Solar said in a statement. The contract was signed through the company’s subsidiary, ACME Greentech Twenty Pvt Ltd. ACME Solar’s under-construction, PPA-signed portfolio now stands at 4,310 MW, out of a total under-construction contracted capacity of 5,380 MW.Under the FDRE project, ACME Solar will supply 4 MWh per MW of contracted capacity for any four hours daily during non-solar hours, while maintaining a minimum monthly availability of 90%.The project will integrate solar power and battery energy storage system technologies to meet its contractual obligations and utilise the night-time connectivity already available to the company. You use AI every day.
