( NewsNation ) — Several of Congress’ wealthiest lawmakers are preparing to leave office after this term. Others are on the ballot as the midterms approach .

Members of the House and Senate must file annual financial disclosures under the Ethics in Government Act . The report lists their investments, assets and business interests.

Here are Congress’ wealthiest members, according to the most recently published live net worth estimates tracked by Quiver Quantitative .

Rep. Jefferson Shreve (R-Ind.) sits at the top of Quiver’s list with an estimated net worth of $715.2 million. He’s a former Indianapolis city council member.

His fortune comes from the self-storage business Storage Express, which he sold for $590 million in 2022.

Shreve narrowly survived a primary challenge in May and will face Democratic nominee Cynthia “Cinde” Wirth in November, a rematch of 2024.

Sen. Jim Justice (R-W.Va.) is Congress’ second-richest member on Quiver’s list, with a net worth of $664.4 million, though he has many debts.

Forbes once estimated Justice’s fortune at $1.9 billion, stripped him of his billionaire status in 2021, and in 2025, estimated his net worth fell below zero because his liabilities far exceeded his assets.

He also agreed to pay nearly $5.2 million in overdue personal taxes after the IRS filed liens of more than $8 million against him and his wife.

Justice won his seat in 2024. His term runs through 2030.

Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.) led most wealth lists last year, though Quiver now estimates he is worth $509.4 million, the third highest in Congress.

Before entering politics, Scott co-founded HCA Healthcare and Solantic. He served as Florida’s governor from 2011 to 2019.

Scott’s next race is the 2030 Florida Senate election.

Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) made his fortune as CEO of car-alarm maker Directed Electronics. Quiver estimates his worth at $399.3 million as of May 24, the fourth highest in Congress.

Issa ended his reelection campaign on March 6 and endorsed San Diego County Supervisor Jim Desmond as his replacement. California’s new congressional map turned his district from solidly Republican into one that slightly favors Democrats.

Rep. Vern Buchanan (R-Fla.) built his wealth through car dealerships, an aircraft leasing company and Speedy Printing. Quiver estimated his net worth at $272.1 million.

Buchanan announced Jan. 27 that he would not seek reelection .

Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) is the richest Democrat in Congress on Quiver’s list, with an estimated net worth of $262.4 million. Most of that wealth comes from her husband Paul Pelosi’s stock holdings .

Pelosi was the first woman to serve as House Speaker and has been in Congress since 1987. She announced last year she would not run again after her current term ends in 2027 and endorsed San Francisco Supervisor Connie Chan in the race to succeed her.

Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.) made his money in telecommunications venture capital, including an early role in what became Nextel. His net worth is estimated at $210.1 million.

Warner is seeking a fourth term against Republican Bert Mizusawa. He has said this will be his last reelection campaign.

Rep. Daniel Goldman (D-N.Y.) is an heir to the Levi Strauss fortune. His net worth is estimated at $208 million.

Former New York city comptroller Brad Lander defeated Goldman in the June 23 Democratic primary, roughly 66 percent to 34 percent.

Sen. Pete Ricketts (R-Neb.) is the eldest son of TD Ameritrade founder Joe Ricketts. Quiver estimates his net worth at $206.6 million. He was Nebraska’s governor from 2015 to 2023.

Ricketts is on the ballot in one of the country’s most closely watched Senate races. His opponent is independent Dan Osborn , a union mechanic who has focused on Ricketts’ family wealth in the race.

Rep. April McClain Delaney (D-Md.) is a first-term lawmaker with a net worth estimated at $199.1 million. She is a lawyer and former Commerce Department official. Her husband, former Rep. John Delaney, held the same seat from 2013 to 2019.

Delaney beat former Rep. David Trone in the June primary, 48 percent to 36 percent, and now faces Republican Robin Ficker in November.
