(Bloomberg) -- Three CoreWeave Inc. co-founders have sold $3.3 billion in company shares since last year's initial public offering, taking money off the table as rising credit risks and investor wariness around AI spending spark volatility in the stock.

Michael Intrator, Brian Venturo and Brannin McBee joined the Bloomberg Billionaires Index of the world's 500 richest people last year after CoreWeave's shares soared following its March 2025 IPO. The stock gained 359% from the offering price to a peak three months later, vaulting Intrator's net worth to $11.8 billion.

As the company's shares have fallen more than 60% from that high-water mark, the trio have cashed out billions, including $2.4 billion this year alone. At today's closing price, the stock they've unloaded since the IPO would be worth nearly a third less than their pretax proceeds from the share sales.

"Our co-founders remain three of the top six shareholders in CoreWeave, together owning approximately 20% of the company," a company spokesperson said in an emailed statement. "They're making personal financial planning decisions that any responsible founder with concentrated holdings would make. All sales are pre-scheduled, fully disclosed, and entirely standard."

CoreWeave shares slumped 15% Wednesday before rebounding slightly on Thursday. The drop came as a measure of the company's credit risk climbed to an all-time high after McBee talked of tapping "unlimited" capital from insurers in an interview with the Financial Times.

After cashing out less than $70 million in shares last year, Intrator has ramped up the pace of his sales in 2026, offloading more than $907 million in company stock since Jan. 1, according to data compiled by Bloomberg from filings.

That's made him one of the five largest insider sellers at any US firm for each of the past two quarters. He's sold the equivalent of 16.5% of his undiluted equity holding as of the IPO date.

On a percentage basis, McBee has sold even more — his $1.06 billion in sales since the IPO, including $577 million this year alone, represent a 40.4% drawdown from his undiluted holding as of the firm's public debut. Nearly 40% of McBee's wealth is now held in cash and equivalents, according to Bloomberg's wealth index.
