Bengaluru: TCS has won a Rs 122.6-crore bid to implement the next phase of the Odisha State Workflow Automation System (OSWAS 3.0), extending its partnership with the Odisha govt by around six years.OSWAS 3.0 will combine workflow automation, systems integration, analytics, security and AI-enabled capabilities on a common digital platform. The system is designed to modernise govt processes through a microservices-based architecture, mobile-first design, Odia language support and integration with government applications.OSWAS has helped Odisha transition from paper-based administration to digital workflows, enabling electronic file movement, approvals, real-time tracking and access to records. Since its launch in 2009, the platform has expanded to more than 4,600 govt offices and nearly 50,000 users across the state.“OSWAS has evolved into the digital backbone of the Government of Odisha, enabling seamless, transparent, and paperless governance across the state,” said Vishal Kumar Dev, additional chief secretary, E&IT department of the Odisha govt, and chairman, Odisha Computer Application Centre (OCAC).Sushil Jain, head of public services, India, at TCS, said OSWAS 3.0 would build on Odisha’s digital foundation with a more secure, scalable and mobile-first platform, helping officials work with greater speed and visibility.TCS introduced OSWAS 1.0 in 2009 to digitise file processing and official correspondence within the Odisha Secretariat.
