Muse downloads continue to move in the right direction for Meta.

If the excitement around Meta's ( META ) new Muse AI agent is slowing down, you certainly don't see it in the download numbers Wall Street is tracking like a hawk.

Meta's Muse has amassed 10.9 million downloads since its launch on Sept. 8, according to newly released data from Sensor Tower. Muse has received more than 10.2 million downloads from the US alone. In contrast, US downloads for OpenAI's ( OPAI.PVT ) ChatGPT in the past 30 days have declined by 25% over the prior 30-day period.

Sensor Tower estimated that Muse reached 2.5 million daily active users (DAUs) for the first time on Oct. 16, as DAUs increased 15% week over week for the past seven days.

Only 11 other apps have reached 10 million US downloads within 40 days, Sensor Tower said, with the most recent app achieving this status being Meta's Threads in July 2023.

The momentum is likely welcome news to Wall Street, which has come out with aggressive growth assumptions for Muse since its release.

Deutsche Bank analyst Benjamin Black sees Muse reaching up to 8% of Meta's revenue by 2030, which nets out to roughly $36 billion in sales for the product. On the lower end of the prediction scale, Black sees Muse pulling in sales of $2.4 billion by 2030.

"In our view, Meta found a clear gap amongst current AI-agentic offerings — at the intersection of mobile app-based ecosystem, with a consumer-oriented UI which is seamless to use, the ability to complete transactions autonomously, free-to-use for the most part, and always-on feature within its own virtual machine — that makes it the service virtually unique in today's market," Black said.

Meta is slated to report earnings after the close of trading on Wednesday.
