Wipro appoints Angan Guha as Americas 2 CEO

Bengaluru: Wipro has appointed Angan Guha as president and CEO of its Americas 2 Strategic Market Unit, effective Dec 8. He will report to Wipro CEO Srini Pallia and join the company’s executive leadership team.Guha will focus on strengthening Wipro’s business across banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI), energy and utilities, and manufacturing, while driving growth and deepening client relationships in the region.Guha returns to Wipro after serving as global CEO and managing director of Birlasoft. He previously spent over 28 years at Wipro, where he held several senior leadership positions, including CEO of the Americas 2 business unit and membership of the company’s leadership team.He has more than three decades of experience in the technology industry, with a focus on business growth, digital transformation and client relationships across BFSI, energy and utilities, and manufacturing.Welcoming Guha, Pallia said his experience in driving business growth, along with his focus on innovation and execution, would help strengthen Wipro’s Americas business and accelerate growth.Guha said he was looking forward to rejoining Wipro at a time when developments in artificial intelligence are creating opportunities for businesses to innovate and transform.
