India Business News: Moneyview cuts fresh IPO issue to Rs 750 crore from Rs 1,500 crore, lowers lending expansion allocations, and reduces offer-for-sale shares, per Sebi addendum.
BENGALURU: Moneyview has cut the proposed issue of new shares in its initial public offering (IPO) to Rs 750 crore from Rs 1,500 crore. Existing investors will also sell fewer shares, according to an addendum filed on Monday.The Accel-backed digital lender has also lowered the amounts earmarked for expanding its lending business. It now plans to deploy Rs 325 crore to support loan disbursals under default loss guarantee arrangements, against Rs 650 crore earlier. These arrangements cover a portion of losses on loans made by lending partners.Another Rs 250 crore will go towards strengthening the capital base of its lending subsidiary, Whizdm Finance, down from Rs 450 crore. The remaining net proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.The offer for sale, through which shareholders sell existing stock, has been reduced to about 10.04 crore shares from 13.61 crore. Accel, Tiger Global, Ribbit Capital and Crimson Winter have trimmed their proposed sales. Apis Partners will no longer participate as a seller. Promoters Puneet Agarwal and Sanjay Aggarwal have retained their earlier sale plans.Moneyview submitted its draft prospectus in March and secured Sebi approval in July. It sought permission to reduce the fresh issue on September 3 and received approval on September 10. For the nine months ended December 2025, the company disbursed loans worth Rs 16,299 crore and posted a net profit of Rs 209 crore.Founded in 2014, Moneyview has since broadened its offerings beyond unsecured consumer loans to include investments, insurance and digital payments.Get the latest Business News and Live updates.
