Greenland Security Pact Puts Tanbreez in the Spotlight

President Trump announced Friday that the U.S., Denmark and Greenland had reached an agreement on Greenland's security, saying Denmark would grant the United States permanent control over security and all other needs in Greenland, and that the deal came at no cost to the United States. Denmark's Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen and Greenland's Prime Minister Jens-Frederik Nielsen said in a joint statement that the agreement strengthens common security in the Arctic and the North Atlantic area while recognizing the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Kingdom and the right of the Greenlandic people to self-determination.
