4.5 lakh visitors, over 550 global buyers expected at UP International Trade Show

Union home minister Amit Shah will inaugurate the fourth edition of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS) here on Friday, bringing together manufacturers, MSMEs, exporters, artisans, startups, and international buyers on a platform aimed at expanding business and market linkages, Uttar Pradesh MSME Minister Bhupendra Chaudhary said on Thursday.The five-day trade show will be held from September 25-29 at the India Expo Centre and Mart and will be inaugurated by Shah, along with chief minister Yogi Adityanath, Chaudhary said.Union defence minister Rajnath Singh will attend the valedictory session, he added.Jointly organised by the Uttar Pradesh government and India Exposition Mart Ltd, the event is expected to feature more than 2,400 exhibitors, 1.5 lakh B2B buyers and visitors, 4.5 lakh general visitors and more than 550 international buyers from 85 countries.The fourth edition will give significant visibility to the state's "One District, One Cuisine" (ODOC) initiative, alongside its established focus on One District, One Product (ODOP), and showcase the breadth of Uttar Pradesh's economic ecosystem."The MSME sector is the backbone of Uttar Pradesh's economy, and our government is committed to creating an ecosystem where enterprises can grow, innovate and compete in global markets," Chaudhary said.He said the trade show would bring businesses, manufacturers, exporters and buyers together, expanding market access for local enterprises and creating avenues for investment, business growth and employment.The event will have six partner countries -- Austria, Japan, Russia, Singapore, Belarus, and Vietnam. Foreign buyer registrations have been received from 72 countries, with registrations continuing to grow ahead of the event, officials said.The Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) is facilitating international buyer outreach through its Hosted Buyer Programme, which will provide B2B matchmaking, networking and access to business sessions.Principal Secretary, MSME Department, Shashi Bhushan Lal Susheel, Gautam Buddh Nagar District Magistrate Medha Roopam and India Exposition Mart Ltd Chairman Dr Rakesh Kumar, among other officials, were present.You use AI every day.
