Amazon Announces the Dates for Its Next Prime Day Sale

Amazon has confirmed the dates for its second major Prime shopping event of 2026 , with Prime Big Deal Days taking place October 6-7 .

That gives Prime members another two-day window to hunt for discounts across games, tech, TVs, Amazon devices, and plenty of the usual Amazon clutter before Black Friday arrives in November ( and some deals are even already live ).

It also marks a return to the more familiar format for Amazon's fall event. The retailer stretched its main Prime Day sale across four days in June , but Prime Big Deal Days will once again run for 48 hours, just as it did last year.

As I mentioned, a selection of tidy Amazon deals are already live in the run-up to Big Deal Days.

Amazon Prime Big Deal Days runs from October 6-7, 2026. Call it October Prime Day, Prime Day 2, whatever you like. It's deals... that are exclusive to Prime members. You know, Prime Day!

Deals will officially kick off as soon as the event gets underway in the first week of October. Amazon has not yet revealed the full lineup of offers, so we'll have to wait until closer to the event to see which games, consoles, TVs, PC hardware, and other tech make the cut.

For anyone already thinking about Black Friday , there's another reason to pay attention. Prime Big Deal Days arrives just over a month before the big November sales, making it one of the last major opportunities to pick up some early holiday shopping bargains.

Amazon's own hardware is usually where Prime Big Deal Days gets particularly interesting. Kindle e-readers, Fire tablets, Fire TV devices, and Echo speakers regularly receive some of the retailer's biggest discounts, although plenty of third-party brands also take part.

It's also worth remembering that Amazon doesn't necessarily wait until the event itself to start discounting. Some products are already seeing reductions in the run-up to Big Deal Days, and we'll be tracking those offers separately rather than telling you to wait for October if a genuinely good deal turns up beforehand.

For gamers, the sale can be particularly useful for picking up accessories, storage, games, PC hardware, TVs, and other kit, although not every discount carrying a Prime Day badge is automatically a good one. We'll be keeping an eye on historical pricing throughout the event to separate the genuine bargains from the usual "sale" prices that aren't quite as exciting as Amazon would have you believe.
