Los Angeles Dodgers ace Yoshinobu Yamamoto allowed only one run over seven innings as LA downed the Atlanta Braves 3-1 in Game 3 of the National League Division Series, a win that wins back home-field advantage for the Dodgers.

With a 2-1 lead in the series, the Dodgers could clinch a berth in the NL Championship Series with a win on Wednesday.

Despite a lot of discussion about the decision to save reigning World Series MVP Yamamoto for Game 3, he looked like a pitcher on a mission, throwing seven innings and allowing four hits and one walk against 10 strikeouts.

That one run he allowed came in the fifth inning, but it was a relative win considering it came with one out and the bases loaded.

It ultimately proved to be the Braves' best shot at catching up to the Dodgers, who benefited from a pair of home runs.

Who hit the best for the Dodgers in Game 3?

Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman was robbed of a home run earlier in the game, but third baseman Kiké Hernández hit a two-run blast to open the scoring in the fourth inning, driving in center fielder Andy Pages in the process.

Freeman then finally got that home run two batters after Hernández, a moment Braves fans surely hated to see from their former franchise star.

All of those runs came against Braves starter Chris Sale, who blanked the Dodgers in a pitching duel in August , coincidentally also against Yamamoto.

On Tuesday, though, the Dodgers were able to get hits and ultimately score on Sale, breathing new life into this team.

The Dodgers stay in Atlanta for Game 4 on Wednesday.

First pitch is set for 3 p.m. PT, with Tyler Glasnow (5-2, 3.53 ERA, 98 strikeouts) on the mound for the Boys in Blue.

The Braves are starting Tyler Mahle (7-10, 3.99 ERA, 137 strikeouts).

With a win, the Dodgers move on to face the winners of the series between the San Diego Padres and Milwaukee Brewers.

If the Dodgers lose, the series comes back for a winner-take-all Game 5 on Friday night at Dodger Stadium. That game is slated to begin at 5 p.m. PT.
