Quentin Tarantino’s New Novel The Adventures of Cliff Booth Is Up for Preorder

Here’s one for film buffs who also enjoy curling up with a good book: Quentin Tarantino has a new novel coming out soon. It’s called The Adventures of Cliff Booth, and it’s a novelization of the upcoming movie The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth , which is a stand-alone sequel to Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. The book is up for preorder on Amazon for $32, with a release date of December 8.

According to the blurb, the book follows the Brad Pitt character Cliff Booth, a “war hero, stuntman, bartender, cinema projectionist,” as he navigates 1977 Hollywood, performing “clandestine services” for his friends. Since Once Upon a Time in Hollywood toook place in 1969, that means this is set eight years after the exciting events of that movie.

That’s about all we know so far about the book – or the movie for that matter (you can watch the all-vibes trailer here ). It looks like Netflix re-named the movie just two weeks ago from “The Adventures of Cliff Booth” to “The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth,” so we shall see if the same title change comes to the book in the future. In the meantime, you can lock in your preorder now and it’ll ship on December 8, when it’s released.

This isn’t the first time Tarantino has penned a novel. He also wrote a novelization for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood that’s currently on sale at Amazon for $6 . Tarantino isn’t just writing novels for goofs, either. The New York Times gave that book a positive review , calling it a “pulpy page-turner.” In 2022, Tarantino also published a nonfiction book called Cinema Speculation .

The movie version of The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth hits IMAX theaters on November 25 for an exclusive two-week window, followed by its release on Netflix on December 23. For Tarantino fans, it will be a merry Christmas indeed.
