Onimusha: Way of the Sword Video Review - IGN

Onimusha: Way of the Sword reviewed by Will Borger on PS5, also available on Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, and Switch 2."It’s a testament to Onimusha: Way of the Sword’s combat that I could beat it without using some of the systems designed to help you progress – not because you don’t need them, but because it leaves room for you to truly understand its action and overcome their absence through sheer determination. Even if I hadn’t intentionally made things harder for myself, though, I still would have loved spending time with the charismatic denizens of this world, all of whom are as well acted as they are animated. I still would have thought that Musashi himself was one of the coolest, most interesting protagonists in any video game, and I would have loved going on this journey with him. I still would have savored the creative fights against dozens of impressive bosses. My journey reflected Musashi's, and Onimusha made that possible. The best part of life is the challenge. You have to learn to love the fight."

The Blood of Dawnwalker Video Review - IGN

The Blood of Dawnwalker reviewed by Travis Northup on PlayStation 5, also available on PC and Xbox Series X/S."The Blood of Dawnwalker is my new favorite vampire game and one of the best story-driven RPGs I’ve played in a long time. The day/night cycle that has you juggling human and vampiric forms is awesome, and the constraints placed on how you spend your limited time ends up being one of the coolest, most wonderfully stressful parts of the adventure. Combat has a bit of a learning curve to it, but gets under your skin in all the right ways once you get the hang of it. Combine that with a story filled with memorable characters, gut wrenching decisions, and more endings than I’m ever likely to see, and this adventure kept me firmly in its thrall. Even if you aren’t particularly into the vampire fantasy, this is one that any RPG fan should absolutely not miss."

South Park: The Stick of Truth Is the Funniest Game I’ve Ever Played

If you haven’t played South Park: The Stick of Truth, it is absolutely not too late. The graphics look exactly like the show, so they haven’t really aged at all. In fact, as a 12-hour RPG, The Stick of Truth is like playing a long season of the show. Parker and Stone’s fingerprints are all over this thing, with Obsidian’s game-building and genre expertise underpinning the whole thing. I dare you not to laugh hysterically at the Underpants Gnome boss fight, the scene with Mr. Slave, the Canada section, and so many more.
